It was a great day for High school football on Friday, August 20th, as the Bolles
Bulldogs got ready to face off against the Oakleaf Knights in the 2021 Kickoff Classic.
The weather was perfect and the house was packed with supportive fans from both
schools. Bolles got off to a quick start as they drove down the field and senior running
back Kade Frew punched in a 1-yard touchdown run on the opening drive. The Oakleaf
Knights quickly responded with a drive that ended with a touchdown catch made by
junior wide receiver Taylor Bradshaw. In an eventful second quarter with 2 interceptions
and 28 unanswered points, the Bolles Bulldogs were able to pull away from the Oakleaf
Knights ending the half with a score of 35-6. The second half was cut short as the
remainder of this game was canceled due to weather conditions, however, the Bulldogs
used this night as yet another opportunity to show the people of Jacksonville, Florida
that they should have something to look forward to the 2021 season.
After ending 2020 with a 10-win season and a deep playoff run, the Bolles Bulldogs
appear to be overflowing with confidence and they are ready to prove to everyone
watching that they are going to be nothing short of sensational in 2021. Surely with their
senior running back and very stingy defense, it's going to be a fun season for the
Bulldogs. Bolles will host West Nassau High School on Friday, August 28th at 7 pm.

The Oakleaf Knights will open this season at a neutral site against their Clay county
rival, the Orange Park Raiders on Saturday, August 28th at 7pm. Coming off of a 7-4
record and a 2nd round playoff berth in the 2020 season, the Knights plan to tighten up
some loose ends as they face off with Orange Park. This dynamic duo in the Knights’
the backfield will be extremely exciting to watch as the season begins to unfold.
