High Hopes for Holland

Every week a good match up key game is chosen to be the JEAG Sports game of the week. The player with the best performance in that game will be chosen to receive the JEAG Sports Player of the week. For the week of August 26th, the JEAG Sports Player of the week is none other than Andrew Jackson senior wide receiver, Terrance Holland. Standing at 5’8 and weighing in at 165 pounds, Terrance Holland has taken a step in proving the old time saying is right, “good things come in small packages”. With an outstanding performance against Nease, Holland gave everyone in attendance a reason to come back and see what Andrew Jackson football is all about. He tallied the stat sheets with 11 receptions for 156 yards and a touchdown reception, which created a significant lead for the Jackson Tigers. Holland is the “swiss army knife” type of receiver that offenses love to bounce around in various spots on the field. He can be used in the back field, in the slot or out wide. This type of offensive scheme makes it extremely difficult for opposing defenses to figure out where he is at all times. The fact that he has a quick release, good speed and impeccable ability to get open is very much a bonus. Unless opposing defenses make him a key focal point in their strategy, this Terrance Holland might be trouble to deal with. While we are still at an early point in the season, it’s going to be intriguing to see how he can adapt to the possible adjustments that opposing defenses should be making on his behalf. This week, the Jackson Tigers will visit 4 star defensive lineman Jordan Hall and the Westside Wolverines on Friday September 2 at 6:30 pm. It’s going to be a good one.
