The Enny Award honors is  recognition by JEAG sports given to players who were most familiar with the end zone for that week. Last Friday Aug 26 was a night to remember all around Northeast Florida as our extremely talented players got a chance to show off the skills that they had been working so hard in the off season to improve. The enny  honors for this week will undoubtedly be awarded to the Senior running back from Oakleaf high school, Devin Outlaw. Outlaw started right back where he left off in the 2021, having a phenomenal performance against Orange Park where he carried the ball 15 times and racked up 256 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns. This magnificent style of play is what led his team to a 45-8 victory over Orange Park. At 5’11 and 210 pounds, it is very much understandable as to why defenses find him so difficult to bring down. Outlaw has great upper and lower body strength to break through tackles and highly above average break away speed. If you take a look at the size of this kid, he looks like a man amongst boys against every defense that he faces. He is the type of running back that defenses will be required to have 8 men in the box in order to neutralize him. With the weather that we experienced last week, it would be in the offense’s best interest to lean on the running game especially if you are lucky enough to have a running back like Devin Outlaw. It is performances like this that capture the attention of college scouts around the country. The star running back will go against Baker county this upcoming Friday September 2 at 7pm. Let’s see how consistent this young bull will be this Friday and for the remainder of the season.
